Oncology Fundamentals Day for Technicians 2018

Registration for the CAPhO Oncology Fundamentals Day for Technicians is now open. 
 
 
The CAPhO Oncology Fundamentals Day for Technicians 2018 (OFDTech18) aims to provide education for pharmacy team members, and focuses primarily on enhancing patient safety and optimizing scope of practice as the role of pharmacy in cancer care evolves. 
 
Plan to attend the OFDTech18, taking place on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10:00 to 14:30 EST as a half day online learning event. Participate live and learn from the comfort of your own home!
 
OFDTech18 will feature CCCEP accredited sessions, streamed online so you can attend the event live from wherever you are. The program features the following topics:
 
  • Human Error in Chemotherapy Preparation
  • Logistics of Centralized Hazardous Drug Preparation
  • Hazardous Drug Preparation
  • Technicians Checking Chemotherapy
  • Minimizing Exposure to Cancer Medications
 
If you participate in OFDTech18 and complete the post-event survey your name will be entered to win complimentary registration and a $2,000 travel grant (including reimbursement for a paid conference registration) to the CAPhO Conference 2018!. To be eligible for the draw you need to be a pharmacy technician, a member of CAPhO and have participated in OFDTech18 on January 20, 2018.
